AMAÇ:
Bu çalışmada amaç, Türkiye Internet’inde tercih edilen işletim sistemlerini değerlendirmektir.

YÖNTEM:
".tr" altında yeralan alan adlarının birincil web sunucuları (www
 ile başlayan sunucular) üzerinde çalışan işletim sistemi, nmap (http://www.insecure.org/nmap) v2.53programı kullanılarak tesbit edilmeye çalışılmıştır.

İşletim sistemi belirlenmeye çalışılan 23533 sunucudan 14513'ünün işletim sistemi tesbit edilebilmiştir.

Elde edilen sonuçlar, alan adı ve sayı bazında analiz edilmiştir. Analiz işleminde kullanılan işletim sistemi tanımları aşağıda verilmiştir. Bu tanımlamalar “nmap” çıktıları üzerinde taranmıştır.

Windows: “Windows”, “Microsoft” veya “NT Server” 
Linux: “Linux” 
Solaris: “Solaris” veya “SunOS”
Digital Unix: “Digital UNIX”
SCO Unix: “SCO”
AIX: “AIX”
Mac OS: “MacOS”
IRIX: “IRIX”
HP UX: “HP-UX”
BSD: “FreeBSD”, “NetBSD” veya “BSDI”

Bu tanımlardan herhangi birine uymayanlar “Diğer” hanesine kaydedilmiştir.

 PURPOSE:
The goal of this study is to evaluate the OS preferences under ".tr" domain.

METHOD:
The OS of primary web servers of all ".tr" domains were tried to be identified by using nmap v2.53 (http://www.insecure.org/nmap/).

Of those 23533 servers searched through, 14513 were identified by nmap.

The results were analyzed on the basis of the domains and the number of servers. The IDs used for identification are given below. These IDs were searched in nmap output.

Windows: “Windows”, “Microsoft” or “NT Server” 
Linux: “Linux” 
Solaris: “Solaris” or “SunOS”
Digital Unix: “Digital UNIX”
SCO Unix: “SCO”
AIX: “AIX”
Mac OS: “MacOS”
IRIX: “IRIX”
HP UX: “HP-UX”
BSD: “FreeBSD”, “NetBSD” or “BSDI”

Output that does not match any ID was included in "others".
